Mt Rainier 2002

I'm planning to summit Mt Rainier in 02. I'll fill more in later, but for now, if you are interested in going, do three things:
1) Spread the word.
2) Let me know.
3) Start training.

This is my vision of how the process will work:
1) Build an interest pool. This is the 'membership' list in the club, people who have a general interest. "Yeah, that sounds cool" 2) Identify the crew. These are the people that are serious.
3) Catalog experience and resources. We'll need to know what our capabilities and limitions are. And what equipment we lack.
4) Identify options & Decide on concept. Hire guides, take the class, go it along, rent equipment, buy equipment.... Make decisions based on the output of step 3.
5) Select dates.
6) Detailed planning
7) Execute plan.
